  2. Tabpose: Chrome Tab-management Interface

    August 30, 2010 by admin

Chrome is working on expanding browser capabilities and enabling it to accommodate large amounts of computing tasks. The work started in July and is still in its early stages. The programmers gave this the tab-management interface the name of “Tabpose”. Tabpose make it possible to view tabs on a different screen. The Chrome tab overview is similar to the Panorama feature that Mozilla is adding to Firefox. Chrome says that Tabpose may have similarities with the Panorama feature, Tab Candy, but the works were developed independently. Chrome has compared the Tabpose to Apple’s Expose, saying that it more or less  works the same way.

For now, to get an overview you have to pretty much just swipe the track pad then click to select the tab. The design and features are still subject to changes so expect new experimental features. Managing a large number of tabs is taxing so viewing all  browser window tabs on a full screen is easier and more efficient. Saving time and increasing productivity may be the key to success for Chrome’s Tabpose.
